You can see that the lake or waterway scene is very calm and tranquil. There is a gent rowing his boat and another along the shore line fishing. There are 2 waterfront cottages, plenty of landscaping and it is all set against a colorfully expressive sky with the sun setting low and out of sight. The color palette on this album is really very lovely, even better then shown, as I was not able to get the full depth of color to show, especially all the greens and blues in the water. Nonetheless, my photos are very good, just try to imagine a little more color to the water. The pages have nearly all of their exterior gold gilding, with 99+% of it remaining. The album has it's original bright brassy toned clasp, intact and functioning. The clasp will close the album better and more securely when there are some photos inside to expand the pages a bit, as it once was in the past.  
The celluloid on this album is in remarkable condition, just a tiny nick on one of the corners near the spine, really nothing naughty or to be concerned about. There's not much scratching or scuffing on the celluloid either, you'll see only very little when you tip the album to the light. There are absolutely no cracks, craze lines, hairlines, bumps or other bruises. Even though the scenery is quite stunning, this album is further enhance with a cameo portrait and she is an alluring beauty. This gorgeous lady is striking in every way, she is confidently poised. She has lush, long curly brown hair decorated with a pale plum purple flower. Her dress drops off of her right shoulder and it is draped low across her bosom. She has dreamy eyes, well formed lips and a self-assured appearance. Her portrait is bordered by some lovely gold gilt embossed designs and flowers, all very appealing. 
The interior has 14 pages. The larger areas will house an approx. 4 by 6 inch photo and the last 2 pages will hold smaller pictures. The pages are in very respectable condition, with the usual expected occasional slot tear which can occur when removing photos. The pages are dressed in an array of gold stenciled designs and this album will arrive to you with no photos inside but in a condition that is ready for use. The spine and backside of this album are covered with a deep, rich wine burgundy fabric that has maintained itself splendidly over it's 100+ years and shows only minimal aging. The binding is tight and the pages are well attached. This album carries medium weight and measures 10¼ inches top to bottom, nearly 8½ side to side and is 1⅝ inches thick.
