The celluloid cover is in marvelous condition, no chips, cracks, fading or naughty flaws. The first two photos show the colors very well, the box is worthy. The close-up shots show the lovely nouveau ladies enjoying the springtime blossoms, however, the green and ivory tones are a bit washed out. The background color is a warm variegated forest green. The close-up of the florals are also a bit too blue and the pink blossoms are deeper in tone. 
The sides of this box are papered in a dark plum purple with pale lavender flowers and gold stenciling, showing only little minor losses, really very fine condition for the age and nature of the piece, very hard to find in this condition. The interior is covered in deep pink satin, just a little discolor from use but overall, very good. Measuring 12 1/2 in length by 4 in depth and 2 1/4 in height, this celluloid glove box with be a splendid addition to your treasured accessories, you will truly enjoy owning this fabulous Victorian box.
