These luscious stones are multi faceted and sparkle like jewels. The close-up photo shows the best color. They are set atop some wonderful brass metal work and all details are secure to a golden brassy case. All stones are original, intact, have good depth of color with no darkening. Under magnification and lengthily inspection, I find only two hard to see chips on the stones, truly very fine condition. Overall, the case shows a little scratching and the interior as well but less so. The mirror has it's original Schildkraut label and has started to fog but you can still see yourself just fine and will service you for many years to come. The powder well has small remnants of powder. This, rarely seen, delectable jeweled compact measures 2 & 3/4 by 2 & 3/8 inches. I find this to be a most deserving compact, to be treasured and coming from a well admired designer, Schildkraut.
