Even though my photos are very good, they just don't seem to do total justice to this extraordinary handbag. The background bead is a bright and radiant gold and these beads show their brilliance quite well in my pictures. There are literally thousands of heaping and dimensional glass beads on this purse, all making for a one-of-a-kind wearable work of art. The pattern is very impressive and incorporates tiny micro beaded flowers in delicate feminine tones of pink, pale baby blue and soft white tones. The beading is sculpted and the flowers are raised off the purse, making for a fabulous presentation. This purse is truly amazing, with it's splendid array of dynamic workmanship. The talent it must have taken to accomplish such a task and bring it to completion. This is a beautifully appointed evening bag that should easily excite it's next owner. It carries with a medium hand, not too stiff and definitely not soft.  
The French artisans were well known for crowning their purses with unique beaded frames and this purse is no exception. As not to compete with the splendid beadwork, the designer Josef choose a brass toned frame and layered it in stunning golden bronzy toned steel beads. These French steel beads have maintained themselves superbly over the decades and show no signs of aging, although my photos don't show the frame as pretty as it truly is. It's hard to believe this purse is approx. 70 years old, thanks to it's previous owner who took excellent care to preserve it. The purse is securely attached to the frame at all points and the frame opens and closes as it should with a lift up to open matching clasp. I see no elements of the frame that are missing or worn, no losses or damages. I acquired this purse in very, very clean condition, so I found no reason to wash this purse and risk wetting the metal beads. This purse will arrive to you in fabulous condition.  
The interior is lined with an extremely fine quality satin lining in the deeper ivory or tan tone. It has a single pocket with it's designer label attached and shows only minor signs of usage with a couple of tiny small spots, nothing real obvious at all. Stuffed with tissue, this vintage Josef French beaded evening purse measures 5 inches in height, 9 inches at the widest, 7 inches across the top, the side gusset has over 2 inches of depth and the chain handle drops the purse by 3½ inches. This magnificent creation is for the lady who enjoys carrying purses that have a distinct personality. This evening handbag is capable of carrying your essentials for that special event.
