Both the interior and exterior of this vintage change purse is constructed of rich quality black satin. It is heavily pleated and well stitched to the frame. The exterior of the front side has been hand stitched with Tambour needlework in the Point de Beauvais stitch. The backside is plain black satin. The colors are pleasant and have a strong tone, you should expect them to look much like my close-up photos. The floral theme has several shades of burgundy, pink and dusty rose, as well as pale yellow, blue and green. The workmanship is precise, executed by a talented seamstress, showing pride in her work.
The golden brassy toned pierced filigree balls are in solid order and work well together with the interior snap closure. The gold tone frame shows a bit of vintage aging but not bad at all. The satin lining is in fine condition and has a hand made in France label. The fabric is snug to the frame and everything looks very nice, little if any use, certainly no abuse. This coin purse widens out on the sides to almost 5 inches and is about 3 inches tall, the sides are gusseted so there is a little extra room in this coin purse. This is a wonderful change purse and would be a great addition to your treasured purse and wardrobe accessories. The condition is very fine, I really don't see how a vintage coin purse of this type can be found in much nicer shape.
