The glass beads are a combination of jet black seed beads and thin rows of cut and faceted black beading, which offers this purse a little sparkle. The faceted rows are 1/2 inch apart, creating a pin striped effect on this stunning purse. My photos are reasonably good, you can see the pin striped pattern in some of these pictures, however, my photos do not show all the reflective qualities of the faceted glass beads. Nonetheless, I feel my pictures do an adequate job of displaying this bag's personality and character. The crown jewel of this purse is, of course, it's frame. The bright golden metal hardware has an especially delightful tone and is in excellent vintage condition. This purse was well cared for, respected and properly preserved.  
The clasp is the spring tension type that spans the width of the purse. Lift up the clasp to open, it functions well on a piano hinge at the rear of the purse. All elements of the frame are in superior condition. The beading on the frame is divine with pale blue, pink and off white little flowerettes. There is a lot of twisted gold beadwork and the central arena is enhanced with a Limoges porcelain plaque. This transfer decorated porcelain disc is painted with a Fragonard romance scene and is encircled with luminous faux pearls. The overall appearance is pure elegance and there is a fully beaded handle that drops the purse by 6 1/2 inches. This purse has been thoroughly and professionally cleaned for your future enjoyment, it now carries only the scent of freshness.  
The photo of the backside of the purse shows the pin striping well but keep in mind that this is a subtle pattern with a subtle sparkle. The interior has it's original quality black satin lining, with pocket and label that states, made in France. The purse is well attached to the frame at all points and this purse will carry with a soft hand, as it is rather fluid to the touch. Stuffed with tissue paper, as shown, this purse measures approx. 5 1/2 inches in total height, 9 inches across the bottom, 7 1/4 across the frame and the side gusset has 1 1/2 inches of depth. This purse will carry your basic essentials, such as a small hanky, cell phone, comb, small wallet, lipstick, etc. If you like to carry an elegant purse that has some slight visual sparkle, then you will enjoy owning this sophisticated and stylish evening bag meant for a black tie event or other semi formal gathering. There are no disappointments with this French beaded purse, it's chic and smart looking, clean, fully intact and it's hand made in France. Let me know and I'll place it aside for you.
