My photos are showing you what to expect from this handbag and how lovely it is against the outer black background border. This purse comes from a wonderful New York City petit point collection recently unwrap for the first time in decades. This petit point is hand made with tiny micro stitches, at least 40 stitches to the inch and looks to be in pristine, unused condition. It's previous owner frequented Austria during the 1930's through the 1950's, when she brought back many exquisite pieces and then tucked them away for future enjoyment. Thankfully they were well wrapped and properly stored. The landscape is charming in every way. The overall scene of an abundant flower garden is highlighted with two central figures, a lovely lady being attended by a cherub, how very sweet. The scene is repeated on both sides, colors are soft and inviting but not faded. The gold tone frame is an arched half circle and is highlighted with a sporty clasp, looks like two chunky golden amber Lucite bezel set cabs, very unusual, first time I see this feature on an Austrian made purse. The interior is lined in radiant black satin, it has an Austrian labeled pocket with matching black satin change purse and appears to be in unused, clean condition. This delightful creation measures, stuffed with tissue, 7 in height by 7 & 1/2 in width, 6 & 1/2 across the hinges, has a 1 inch outer perimeter petit point band and the delicate gold chain handle drops 4 inches. This adorable, lightweight and appealing micro petit point handbag will carry your small essentials for the perfect evening out.
