It's a wonderful piece from the 1930's and will surely keep a smile on your face or make for an interesting gift. Colors show well in the photos, appearing hand painted in overall fine condition with some of those pin prick manufacturing flaws as shown to the interior lip that holds the cover, certainly acceptable, as it was made. 
The cover is slightly warped, common with vintage porcelain but fits well when turned in it's place on the bottom jar. This sweet figural box will not come along often, measures 4 3/4 in height by 4 inches in diameter, I know you'll enjoy it.
