We are showing you lots of photos so you will know what to expect, the coloring is showing well except the first photo is a bit off. Original stenciling is strong, all of the components are in place and in damage free condition. One of the smaller canisters seems to be a bit off color but it is the correct Item that belongs with the set. The spices include cloves, mustard, mace, nutmegs, allspice, ginger, cinnamon and pepper, all fitting snugly in the larger box. All the boxes have their metal bands and a couple of the boxes have varying degrees of discolor but nothing too naughty. The larger box measures 9 & 5/16 by 3 & 1/4 tall, the smaller boxes are 2 & 5/8 across and the center box is a medium size of 3 & 1/4 across. Most of the canisters are marked on the bottom: Pat'd Aug 31, 1858, Patent Package Co., Newark New Jersey. The bottom of the large box maintains the original paper lining. Overall, the set is in very fine vintage condition, some age showing hear and there but not more than expected for it's age, no cracks or problems. If you have been wanting one of these sets to add to your antique country primitives, please consider this set, it is very nice ensemble and will add character and depth to your collection.
